CatTracks

Introducing CatTracks! We understand that every student’s journey is unique. Our new self-guided degree planning program empowers you to take charge of your academic planning.

Why 'CatTracks'?

Bobcat Statue
The statue is located near the Quad, between the History Building and the Comal Building.

Think of a cat. They're known for their sharp senses, adaptability, and knack for finding their way. In the same way, CatTracks is designed to guide you clearly and confidently through your academic journey.

Just as cats symbolize curiosity and independence, we want you to explore your educational path with the same spirit – and we're here to guide you.

How CatTracks Works

  1. Do Your Prep Work: Before anything, review your Degree Audit, check out the Undergraduate Catalog, finish up with MyMajors, and take some time to think about what you really want from your courses.
  2. Fill Out the Form: Complete the CatTracks intake form found below.
  3. We Review It: Our First-Year Advisors look over what you've sent and ensure we provide you with the most appropriate guidance.
  4. Get Your Recommendations: You will receive personalized course recommendations and advice based on the information submitted!

Preparation Before Starting with CatTracks

Before you complete the CatTracks intake form, there are essential steps to ensure the process is as smooth as possible:

Degree Audit Review: Take a moment to ensure all of your credits have been properly logged in your Degree Audit. This guarantees that we have the full picture of your academic background.

Explore the Undergraduate Catalog: Familiarize yourself with the courses and options available to you. It's your academic menu, offering a buffet of possibilities.

Complete MyMajors: This is crucial for aligning your interests with potential paths. It will give both you and the advisor an insight into where your passions might lie.

Self-Reflection: Spend some time thinking about your aspirations, strengths, and areas you're eager to improve. Understanding yourself better will allow us to tailor recommendations that align with who you are and who you want to be.
